A big Texas favorite is barn-inspired venues, surrounded by country side, they offer a warm, rustic feel.

Pros: Relaxed atmosphere, and usually offers natural outdoor surroundings that make for beautiful photographs.

Cons: Depending on the season and weather, climate control can leave a lot to be desired, this venue could limit the guest list, and may be a blank canvas that needs an abundance of furniture and decorations (which is not always a bad thing).

2. The Historic Building

Texas is full of old historic buildings that have been converted into wedding venues. These venues are a very classy and elegant way to go but they do have their ups and downs as well.

Pros: Perfect for a traditional wedding, lots of character and not a lot of need for additional pieces and decorations.

Cons: Most historic venues have a list of rules which might put a damper on your raging party.

3.  The Tent Wedding

The perfect option for an outdoor wedding.

Pros: You have a large variety of where and when to set up your tent, you’re in full control and get to enjoy the great outdoors.

Cons: A considerable amount of additional costs such as lighting and flooring, unpredictable Texas weather, and possibly an overwhelming amount of planning.

4. The Hotel

The popular and classic hotel wedding can be easy and convenient but you can run into some issues.

Pros: Convenience, most likely will accommodate the number of guests, no matter the length of your list, and you will usually be given a wedding coordinator.

Cons: Usually a bit on the expensive end, restrictions on caterers and suppliers, and the space can be pretty standard so you may want to leave room in the budget for additional decorations.

5. The Beach

Fun in the sun is at the top of a lot of people’s lists.

Pros: It’s beautiful and easy to tie in the honeymoon and a reason for traveling.

Cons: Some guests might not be able to make the travel, at the mercy of the weather yet again, and could possibly struggle with privacy.
