We’ve officially hit December and we all know what that means….holiday season is upon us. While the season is intended to be the most wonderful time of the year, it’s often met with jampacked schedules, countless parties, and endless stress. As we look to celebrate all the festivities and close out the year, our team is sharing the essentials needed to survive (+ thrive) in this event season.
If you work in the event industry, you know that each event encompasses countless details that each vendor is responsible for handling. Since our products/services differ per project, it’s crucial that our team is up-to-date on all the logistics. Goodshuffle Pro, our inventory/project management software, has made this a breeze with all the built-in project features. You’ll never catch one of our team members without these documents in hand.
There’s truly nothing worse than being onsite and not having all the essential items at your fingertips. We recently invested in branded fanny packs for our team, and let us tell you, they have been a game changer. They’re stocked with all the onsite essentials — velvet brush, portable phone charger, stain stick, microfiber towel, and a mini acrylic cleaner (we poured them into these bottles). Snag a few bags from Amazon, find a local embroidery company, and you can create your own!
Seamless communication is essential to good teamwork. And this vintage communication equipment did just the job. We recently pulled out our set of walkie-talkies for a large event and were thrilled at how they helped our team execute the project.
Running at full speed all December long is not a viable option – especially if you have a team. It’s crucial to assess your schedule and build recovery days throughout the month. Even if it’s just once a week, this pre-planned time will allow you the mental and physical space to reset, recover, and enjoy the season. For us, a 50-minute massage from the NOW Spa has quite literally saved our team during this season. Take a few minutes to find what would be a good reset for you and your team. Now, look at your calendar and schedule those needed recovery days.
Although we may have little control over the busyness the holidays bring, we can plan to succeed by preparing for all our commitments. If you’d like to receive more helpful content like this post, join our e-community where we drop weekly resources into your inbox.
