When a vendor asks you to be involved in a networking event with a really fun theme… you say heck yes.
Picture this: it’s Monday morning the week before the event and our team begins discussing a floral collaboration for a PartySlate event with Social Llama Events. Upon hearing they didn’t have a vendor for their florals, we knew we could step in to add a lil something to an already incredible event in motion.
Knowing that it was going to be grocery store-themed, we got to have a lot of fun thinking of where all our team could place arrangements around the venue. Additionally, we were working with a spring color palette which ended up being so fun! There were a couple of fun props too like a pink shopping cart and mini-colored shopping baskets we got to use to hold flowers.
We had a week to prepare for setting the stage, adding accent florals around the venue, and creating a floral booth of our own. Fortunately, our team thrives on last-minute creative ventures! Even more fortunate is that the venue, On the Leeve, is located directly across the street from our office.
Each vendor participating in the Supermart event was going to have some interactive element to their set-up. Whether it was food, coffee, adding glittery eyeshadow, or taking pictures in a fun-themed photo booth. You can guess how our booth was set up. Just like you would see walking into a grocery store, our flowers were right by the entrance for each person to build their own bouquet!
We enjoyed assembling arrangements for event accents around the venue. As seen in the first image at the top of the blog, we started off by lining the stage with some very colorful and spacious arrangements. Then placed a number of other smaller arrangements around the venue. See images below.
Another creative idea we worked on in the days before the event was to collect soap and shampoo bottles from each of our team member’s kitchens and bathrooms to use as bud vases for smaller arrangements. These details were not only fun and unique but they added to the grocery store theme! See examples below.
As mentioned above, there were so many different aspects to this event. 25 different vendors from the event industry came together to enjoy a night of delicious food and beverages, photo booths (there were 3 including a 360 photo booth!), dancing, and live music. There were yummy chicken tenders served from pringles cans, deviled eggs straight from the carton, and little hamburgers passed around as the events hors d’oeuvres. Because alcohol and juice sometimes just aren’t enough for an event, there was also an entire coffee bar brought to you by NightOwl Coffee Bar. One of our favorite and delicious caterers, Vestals Catering ran the meat and deli shop in the supermart and provided a selection of yummy snacks fit for the theme.
We could go on and on about each booth at the supermart and share how well PartySlate and Social Llama did with their planning and execution. Instead, we’re going to share the list of vendors present and allow you the opportunity to explore the website or socials and book them for your own event and experience first-hand their greatness!
Enjoy the rest of the photos we wanted to share but couldn’t fit in our Insta carousel!
Patiently waiting until our next super fun event.
Joyfully,
