The Faulks’ Romantic Wedding in Santa Fe, NM | Render Events

Talk about a dreamy, romantic wedding day under the Santa Fe sky.  We are absolutely stunned by the minimalist romance that our cool bride, Valerie, dreamed up! Valerie is a talented designer and photographer who came to us with her vision of creating a custom backdrop that would serve as the statement during their ceremony.  She wanted something minimal, neutral, and textured that wouldn’t take away from the beautiful scenery of Pecos National Historic Park.

The wedding details were planned by Molly Donovan and timelessly photographed by Lauren Apel.

Getting Ready

Valerie & her best friends got ready together while snapping polaroids of one another.   You can feel the magic in these photos of how happy they all were to be by her side on this day! Valerie wore a stunning two-piece gown by Flora Bridal, purchased at Lovely Bride Dallas.

First Look

Valerie + Jacob had their intimate first look in a hotel room of El Rey Court.  First looks are the perfect chance to slow down before the day begins and be with one another.  We love seeing this sweet moment that they shared.  Valerie + Jacob ended their first look with a pop of champagne and some fun photos before they headed to their ceremony location.

The Ceremony

The ceremony was held at Pecos National Historic Park, an intimate and unique space that speaks for itself. “The main unit of the park preserves the ruins of Pecos Pueblo.   The first Pecos pueblo was one of two dozen rock-and-mud villages built in the valley around AD 1100 in the prehistoric.”  The history and beauty of the national park made this a perfect backdrop for their romantic wedding ceremony.

The Reception

Have you ever seen a dreamier reception?  Valerie’s monochromatic style & decor was perfect with the New Mexico architecture of El Rey Court.  One of our favorite details is the string lights and airy linens nestled under the trees.  The thoughtful floral by Renegade Floral created the perfect statement on the dance floor.  Also, did we mention Valerie designed all the paper goods herself? What a star!  They ended the night with dancing and a splash in the hotel pool!
