Our friends, Lauren + Michael, had the dreamiest, modern & minimalist wedding. Lauren is the owner of one of our favorite venues, Place At Tyler! The venue itself is pure white with clean lines + tons of greenery. Lauren was unsure at first if she wanted to get married in her own venue because she didn’t want to feel like she was “at work.” But, having the TX Studio next door for photos & all that amazing natural light made it the perfect place for her own wedding! She turned the space into a modern & minimalist wedding dream where she added our acrylic pieces accompanied by tons of beautifully lit, white candles.
Their modern & minimalist wedding day also featured giant white orchids by Jenna Vanzant, pastel pops of pink, and socially distanced table settings.
Lauren + Michael’s wedding day was packed with special moments, including songs instead of speeches (props to this amazing idea!) Their family shared tons of great memories, and we were so honored to be a part of it! We provided the ghost chairs for the reception and acrylic pedestals for the ceremony. Additionally, the acrylic tables and lounge sets for the guests to enjoy each other’s company.
“We planned our wedding in just a few months. It was a breeze because of the vendors we worked with.
BIG TIP: choose your vendors wisely – our preferred vendors list is there for a reason.
Different venues know and trust vendors over time. Vendors who treat the space with respect, serve their clients well and don’t leave behind crazy messes that cause damages or break rules (or laws).
You might think you’re saving by using certain vendors who charge way less than the going rates, but you will often pay for that difference in overages, stress and quality.
I know we live in a world full of sales tactics and lies but when you select a venue, you should select them because you are choosing to trust them with your wedding or event.
Always discuss your concerns upfront, and along the way, but remember that people in the wedding and event industry develop relationships with vendors that become “preferred” for a reason…and it’s not to exclude anyone, it’s to make your events that much more successful, avoid overages, and protect our venues from damages and liability issues!
Planning a wedding can be FUN & exciting when you work with the right people and have realistic expectations for what can be achieved with your budget.”
